About Bethan
I’m a TEFL-qualified English tutor with a strong background in acting, voice and speech training, and I specialize in helping learners develop clear, confident and expressive communication. My teaching style is warm, patient and highly professional, and I take pride in creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable practicing their English and improving their speaking skills.
Before teaching online, I worked internationally on cruise ships, traveling extensively and hosting presentations, activities and events for guests from all over the world. This experience strengthened my communication skills, cultural awareness and confidence, and it taught me how to connect with people of all ages, backgrounds and personalities. It also means I bring a global perspective to my lessons, helping students feel understood, encouraged and motivated.
I combine my experience in pronunciation coaching, presentation skills, communication training and expressive voice work to help learners speak with clarity and confidence. My acting degree gives me a solid foundation in vocal technique, articulation and confident delivery, which I integrate naturally into my lessons. This allows me to support students not only with English language skills, but also with the confidence and presence needed for real-world communication.

I teach with a warm, professional and highly personalised approach, combining my TEFL qualification with my acting and voice‑training background to help learners speak clearly, confidently and naturally. My lessons focus on pronunciation, fluency, confident communication and presentation skills, and I adapt every session to the student’s level, goals and personality.
My teaching methodology blends structured skill‑building with practical speaking exercises. I use targeted pronunciation drills, voice‑clarity techniques, real‑world conversation practice and presentation coaching to help students feel calm, capable and expressive when speaking English. I also provide gentle, detailed feedback throughout the lesson so learners can understand exactly how to improve.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes warm‑up speaking exercises, focused pronunciation or communication work, guided practice, and a short confidence‑building activity at the end. I teach all ages and levels, from beginners developing their foundation to advanced learners who want to refine their accent, improve fluency or strengthen their presentation skills.
