About James
Born in the UK near London, attended a Grammar school near London and studied at the University of Bristol qualifying with a Masters in Engineering and now live in Bristol (+10 years)
In the past, I worked for an engineering consultancy firm (Mechanical engineering) specialising in renewable energy and construction.
I work as a coach now and have a big passion for helping people find their path in life.
A lot of my friends moved to the UK from other countries and I have a passion for helping them adapt to living in the UK and the culture whilst helping them learn the language in an informal and conversational fun way.
My experience is from personal contacts and friends.
I was brought up by Chinese parents living in the UK so have particularly useful experience of how a foreign/Asian culture can be adapted to fit in well with UK culture.

My teaching focuses on having conversations around UK culture and the best ways to fit in quickly and easily all in a fun and informative session.
I teach useful aspects of life you will use every day and this will help build your confidence in not only the English language but living life in the UK. It will answer many of the questions you have about UK culture all from my experience.
You will learn this through informal conversation in English. I will also concentrate on oral pronunciations.
I am available in person, or online through Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Hangouts(meet) and Facetime.
