Hi! I'm Yang, a former researcher specializing in photonic quantum computing, with a strong academic background in physics, mathematics and advanced scientific research.
I moved to Australia in 2017 to pursue postgraduate studies and have spent several years working on challenging scientific problems involving quantum physics, optics and photonic technologies.
Physics has always fascinated me because it helps us understand how the universe works, from everyday phenomena to the extraordinary behavior of light and matter at the quantum level.
Through my research experience, I've developed strong analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. More importantly, I've learned that even the most complex scientific concepts can become understandable when broken down into simple, logical steps.
I believe that understanding physics should be an exciting journey of discovery, rather than a frustrating exercise in memorizing equations.
I'm patient, approachable and enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge with students. I understand that physics can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when mathematical concepts become more challenging.
What motivates me to teach is the opportunity to help students overcome these challenges, develop confidence and discover that physics is not as intimidating as it may initially seem.
My goal is to help students not only improve their academic performance but also develop curiosity, critical thinking and a genuine appreciation for science.
Whether you're struggling with physics or aiming for higher academic achievement, I'd be delighted to support your learning journey!

With a strong academic background in physics and quantum computing research, I offer personalized physics tutoring designed to help high school students develop a deeper understanding of physics, improve their problem-solving skills and build confidence in their studies.
My teaching philosophy is simple: Physics is about understanding, not just memorizing formulas.
I believe that once students understand the fundamental principles behind physical phenomena, solving problems becomes much more intuitive and enjoyable.
My Teaching Approach
- Personalized Learning: Each lesson is tailored to the student's current knowledge, learning pace and academic goals.
- Conceptual Understanding: I explain complex physics concepts using simple language, intuitive examples and real-world applications.
- Step-by-Step Problem Solving: I help students develop systematic approaches to solving physics problems, rather than relying on memorized solutions.
- Mathematical Foundations: I strengthen the mathematical skills essential for physics, including algebra, trigonometry and interpreting equations.
- Exam Preparation: I help students practice exam-style questions, identify common mistakes and develop effective problem-solving strategies.
- Confidence Building: I encourage students to ask questions, think independently and approach challenging problems with confidence.
Lesson Details
- Duration: Typically 60 minutes, with flexible arrangements available.
- Students: Years 10–12, particularly those studying QCE Physics in Queensland.
- Topics: Mechanics, Forces and Motion, Energy, Electricity, Magnetism, Waves, Optics and Modern Physics.
- Focus Areas: Understanding difficult concepts, homework support, exam preparation and improving problem-solving skills.
- Format: Online tutoring across Australia or face-to-face lessons in Brisbane, subject to availability.
My Goal
My goal is not simply to help students find the correct answers, but to help them understand the reasoning behind those answers.
With my background in scientific research, I aim to bring a practical and analytical perspective to physics education, helping students connect classroom concepts with the real world.
Whether you're struggling with physics, preparing for important exams or aiming to achieve higher grades, I'm here to support your learning journey.
