My classes are focused on make you fluently in Spanish, I always start with a recognition of what you need to improve, then, we go through it topic by topic, answering questions such as 'How is it used? In what situations natives used it? What are the most important elements you should handle? Always with lots of examples and images that will facilitate your learning process. I work with my own lessons so I always adapt them to the needs of each student and of course after each meeting you will have a copy of it.

I usually work with adults, to take lessons with me you don't need previous experience with Spanish, but if you do have it we will improve your language skills.

  • 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I am a native Spanish speaker, and my fluency comes from lifelong immersion in the language. Growing up in a Spanish-speaking environment allowed me to develop accuracy, confidence, and a strong sense of linguistic nuance.
  • 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

There are many emblematic figures in Spanish-speaking culture, which makes it hard to choose just one. For me, Jorge Luis Borges stands out, as his work shows the nuances, richness, and depth of the Spanish language in a clear and meaningful way.
  • 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

I really appreciate the word “sobremesa.” It refers to the time spent talking around the table after a meal, something deeply rooted in Spanish-speaking cultures around the world. It reflects how language is not just a tool for communication, but a space for connection, shared experiences, and community. It represents many of the beautiful aspects of Spanish that inspire me and that I truly value.
  • 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Speaking Spanish matters deeply to me because it is my first language and it carries a strong emotional significance in my life. My closest relationships and family connections are built and experienced in this language, making it an essential part of my daily life. Being able to teach Spanish and open a world of opportunities for others through it has always been my dream.
  • 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

The main difficulty in learning Spanish depends largely on the student (their native language and any other languages they speak can significantly influence the process). However, one common challenge for most learners is verb conjugation. Spanish has a wide variety of tenses and moods, and understanding when and how to use them can feel overwhelming at first.
From my years of teaching experience, I’ve learned that what truly helps is approaching conjugation in context rather than in isolation. Instead of memorizing long lists, students make much more progress when they practice verbs through real conversations, storytelling, and exposure to authentic content like music or videos. Consistency also plays a key role: regular, meaningful practice allows patterns to become natural over time, turning what initially feels complex into something intuitive.
  • 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

One of the most valuable moments in my journey with Spanish happened during my time at university, when I met someone who was learning Spanish as a second language for the first time. They needed help, and since I was a native speaker, I naturally stepped in to answer their questions. At first, I could respond intuitively (I knew what sounded correct) but I quickly realized that I couldn’t explain why. Even more challenging, I didn’t fully understand the grammatical terms they were using, such as the difference between the preterite and imperfect tenses. That moment made me aware of the gap between speaking a language and truly understanding it.
This experience marked a turning point for me. It motivated me to study Spanish more deeply, not just as a speaker, but as a teacher. Since then, I’ve focused on being able to explain the language clearly and meaningfully, so my students not only use Spanish correctly, but also understand how it works.
  • 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Travel has played an important role in deepening my understanding of Spanish, especially a trip I took to Argentina in 2020. Being immersed in another variety of Spanish often felt like encountering a different language altogether, which highlighted the incredible diversity and adaptability of Spanish. The new expressions, vocabulary, and ways of speaking I encountered expanded my perspective significantly. It was a powerful moment of realization that broadened my sense of what is possible within the language. More than anything, it reignited my passion for Spanish, reminding me that learning and discovering never really stop, even in your native language.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in language?

What makes me a Superprof is my ability to adapt my teaching to each student’s needs while maintaining a clear structure. I combine grammar, conversation, and cultural content in a way that keeps lessons engaging and practical. I also create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, because that’s where real learning happens.
