About Julian

Having completed my undergraduate and masters at the Royal College of Music I now perform extensively as a freelance violinist. A lot of this is working with orchestras such as the CBSO, Manchester Camerata, Philharmonia and Royal Northern Sinfonia.

I also have a deep love of chamber music, having previously been a founding member of the Guastalla Quartet and co-leader of the European Union Chamber Orchestra.

About the lesson

Extensive experience of teaching all levels from beginner to preparing for music college. Combining teaching with a busy orchestral freelance career to inspire the next generation of classical violinists!

Teaching in a primary school I am very well accustomed to teaching beginners (mainly based on the Suzuki method).

I take pride in preparing students to a very high standard for ABRSM exams and at a more advanced level I have students who are Grade 8 +.
