I’ve always loved learning, and I’m passionate about sharing that love with others, especially when it comes to Maths. I’ve completed two degrees—a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science—and throughout my studies, I’ve seen how Maths is not just a subject but a tool that opens doors to understanding the world and solving real-world problems.

I want to teach because I understand how challenging Maths can feel at times, and I’ve witnessed how personalized guidance can transform frustration into confidence. About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring:
- Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring mathematical concepts at their own pace. My teaching techniques include:
- Step-by-step problem-solving: Breaking down complex problems into simpler steps to help students build a solid foundation in mathematical concepts.
- Interactive learning: Encouraging students to actively participate in solving problems, ask questions, and explain their reasoning to reinforce their understanding.
- Exam techniques: I work with students on effective problem-solving strategies and time management to prepare them for exams. I also provide practice with exam-style questions to build their confidence.

My approach is adaptable based on the student's learning style—whether they are more visual learners, need hands-on practice, or benefit from detailed explanations.

Typical Length of a Lesson:
For high school students, I find that a 45 min to 1 hour session is ideal to maintain focus and cover a significant amount of material. However, I can extend sessions to 1.5 hours if we are covering more challenging topics or preparing for an upcoming exam.

Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
I hold two degrees—a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science—and I’ve gained experience tutoring a variety of subjects, including Maths, at the high school level. My academic background in science has given me a solid grounding in mathematical principles, allowing me to effectively teach a range of topics from basic algebra to more advanced topics such as geometry and calculus.

Through my experience tutoring, I have developed strategies to support students in building confidence in Maths, improving their problem-solving skills, and achieving their academic goals.
