About Hiya
Undertaking the role of an academic tutor for high school students, has provided me with the opportunity to engage in various aspects relevant to my professional development, via teaching and assisting students with their literacy, numeracy and scientific skills by forming trust in a comfortable environment. In addition, I have consistently provided my students with emotional and academic support by preparing students for exams, effectively communicating with their parents, independently organising and managing all my lessons, providing constructive feedback and openly seeking feedback. This valuable experience continues to empower me, as I am able to pursue my passion of enforcing a positive change in society. It has also equipped me with valuable skills including leadership, project management, highly comprehensive oral and written communication, using various computer softwares, customer service, administration, teamwork, organisation, and most importantly, listening to others and understanding their individual needs and expectations. My role as a tutor has been an exceptionally fulfilling experience, as many students have developed a positive attitude towards their learning, developed efficient study and time management techniques, demonstrated academic improvement and achievement through their assessments and feedback from teachers.
