About Anisha

I am an MSc-qualified Biomedical Scientist, a Member of the Royal Society of Biology, and have conducted scientific research in laboratories across three of London's leading universities, and within the clinical trials industry.

My career has given me extensive experience applying Biology in real-world settings, from scientific research to laboratory training and education. As well as teaching in a private tuition context, I have also delivered practical and theoretical training in the workplace, to help individuals qualify to carry out their roles competently.
Biology has always been a subject I've been passionate about. From my early studies through to completing my MSc in Biomedical Science and building a career in scientific research, I've been fascinated by understanding how living systems work and how biological principles apply to the real world.

What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing the moment when something finally clicks. There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone understand a concept they previously found difficult and watching their confidence grow as they develop new knowledge and skills. I believe learning should be engaging, supportive, and tailored to the individual, not just a process of memorising facts.

About the lesson

I hold an MSc in Biomedical Science and am a Member of the Royal Society of Biology. Throughout my career, I have conducted research and worked at three of London's leading universities, giving me extensive experience in applying biological concepts in real-world scientific and laboratory environments.
While my formal tutoring experience includes supporting A-Level Biology students, much of my teaching experience comes from training laboratory technicians and students in both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory skills. In my current role at King's College London, I regularly teach and demonstrate laboratory techniques, adapting my approach to suit different learning styles and levels of experience.

What to Expect from My Lessons
My sessions are discussion-led and tailored to each student's individual needs. Rather than relying solely on memorisation, I focus on helping students develop a deeper understanding of biological concepts through guided discussion, strategic questioning, and exam-focused application.
Lessons are adapted to your goals, whether you need support with:

Answering longer-mark questions effectively
Revising practical skills and experimental concepts
Preparing for GCSE or A-Level examinations

I incorporate real-life laboratory scenarios and examples from my scientific career to help contextualise what you're learning, making complex topics more engaging, memorable, and easier to apply in exams.
My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. Together, we'll identify knowledge gaps, strengthen understanding, and build confidence step by step.
