About Lola
Hi! I’m a friendly, patient and approachable biology tutor with a strong interest in the subject. I currently study Speech and Language Therapy at Trinity College Dublin, where I study areas including anatomy and physiology, which has allowed me to develop and build on my knowledge of biology and the human body. I also achieved a H1 in Leaving Certificate Biology, so I understand the challenges students face when preparing for exams and the importance of knowing how to approach the course effectively.
I want to teach because I really enjoy helping others understand topics that they may initially find difficult or overwhelming. I believe that biology becomes much easier when information is broken down into clear, manageable concepts rather than simply memorized. I want to help students build both their knowledge and confidence, while creating a comfortable environment where they feel able to ask questions and learn at their own pace.

My approach to tutoring is to make biology clear, engaging and manageable. Rather than simply asking students to memorise large amounts of information, I focus on helping them understand the concepts and how they connect to each other. I break topics down step-by-step and use examples, diagrams and practice questions where helpful.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to their individual needs and learning style. Whether you need help understanding a difficult topic, revising for an exam, practising exam questions or improving your confidence, I’ll work at your pace and provide support throughout. My goal is for you to leave each lesson with a stronger understanding of biology and greater confidence in your ability to succeed.
