About Rowan
I completed my Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Mississippi, where I was part of outreach teams that helped middle- and high-school students explore science through hands-on activities. With 7 years of tutoring, including several years online, I’ve developed a teaching style that is: – comforting for anxious learners – organized and conceptual – friendly and relatable – deeply patient and empathetic I love turning intimidating biology chapters into simple, memorable stories. My students often tell me I’m the first teacher who made them like the subject.

I teach Biology through stories, connections, and everyday experiences. Microbiology becomes a hidden world full of tiny battles and balances. Cell Biology becomes a city inside every living thing, humming with activity. Physiology becomes a beautifully coordinated team effort happening inside us each second. Genetics becomes the quiet pattern behind families, and Biotechnology becomes the future each student gets to witness.
My lessons help learners feel the subject, not just memorize it. I connect every idea to real-life examples—running up stairs, breathing deeper when nervous, tasting different foods, watching plants stretch toward light. Students grow curious, not overwhelmed. This grounded, relatable way of learning prepares them naturally for first-year college biology, where real understanding matters more than memorizing definitions.
