About Mariam

I am a Biology educator and research scientist with a strong academic background in life sciences. I hold a BS in Biochemistry, B.Ed qualification, and an MPhil in Molecular Medicine, which together provide me with both advanced subject expertise and a solid foundation in effective teaching practices.
Alongside teaching, my research exposure allows me to connect biological concepts with real scientific understanding, helping students move beyond memorization toward true conceptual clarity.
My teaching approach is structured, interactive, and student-focused. I emphasize concept building, analytical thinking, and exam preparation, using diagrams, real-life examples, and guided questioning to simplify complex topics. I also incorporate structured practice based on past papers following Cambridge Assessment International Education standards to strengthen exam performance.
My lessons are carefully designed to be clear and goal-oriented, ensuring steady academic progress while building confidence in Biology.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is focused on concept clarity, structured learning, and exam-oriented mastery. I break down complex Biology topics into simple, logical steps using diagrams, real-life examples, and guided questioning so students build true understanding rather than memorization.

I use an active learning method, keeping students engaged through discussion, recall practice, and application-based learning. For exam preparation, I follow structured practice using past paper questions based on Cambridge Assessment International Education marking schemes, along with regular revision and targeted feedback to improve performance.

Each lesson is 45–60 minutes, organized into concept explanation, interactive discussion, and exam-focused practice to ensure steady improvement.

I hold a BS in Biochemistry, B.Ed qualification, and MPhil in Molecular Medicine, with a strong academic background in life sciences and experience in simplifying advanced biological concepts for students.
