About Michael
I am a Columbia College (MO) graduate with a B.S. in Biology. I achieved the Biology Senior Award, which is presented to the top graduating Biology or Biochemistry student. I have experience in current lab techniques in the field of Biology. Although I have not tutored any students yet, I recently graduated, my experience in the field is very recent and as a recent graduate I understand how students are currently learning better than others.

My approach to topics is very "problem solving" oriented, starting with learning the basics of a subject and then using that knowledge to solve progressively harder problems in the field. As a student it was difficult for me to just try and memorize and memorize subject matter, but I've found that having discussions about the material that aim at explaining or exploring problems is the best aid.
