About Georgina
I am a Bioinformatics student at Birkbeck College London. I've recently graduated with a 2:1 degree in Computer science from Aberystwyth University in Wales where I was able to take a range of modules which I have added below:
Advanced Algorithms
Applied Graphics
Machine learning
Artificial Intelligence
Computational Bioinformatics
Agile development and testing
C and C++
Modelling Persistent Data (Database design, creation and querying)
My hope is that with the range of knowledge I have I will be able to help students in a number of different areas of computer science.
During University I was a teaching assistant for some of the above modules working in person and then, after COVID lockdown, remotely. I marked work as well as assisted in practical sessions.

I would hope to teach any students up to first year University level.
My teaching method begins simply with friendliness. I don't promise that I know everything but if there is something you want to know and I don't know I will find out the answer for you. I won't judge you ever for any question, I know learning isn't always easy and that a friendly face and teacher can help ease that stress.
The way I will set my lessons will be heavily dependent on what you, the student, wants to learn. I will ask for input prior to each lesson including the topic you want to focus on if it's for revision or to learn something new. Along with this, I will base the lesson on what kind of learner you are, if you learn better with visual aids I will include these and if you learn better by practising I will find exam questions or coding challenges to go through. It will be tailored to your needs.
