About Fatimah

My name is Fatimah, and I am passionate about education and helping others achieve their goals, I am confident that I can provide you with the support and guidance you need to succeed.

I have completed many upper year level Chemistry courses at UofT, which has given me a strong foundation in general chemistry (chemical reactions, stoichometry, equilibrium, solutions, acid and base etc.) and math (graphing, solving system of equations, trigonometry etc.)

My years of experience working with students through mentorship programs, I was able to develop a deep understanding of how to effectively communicate concepts and tailor my teaching approach to meet the unique needs of each individual student.

Lastly, I have also taken many teaching courses through the education studies program and I understand the need of student learning and the best way to approach it. As your tutor, I am committed to maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. This means that I will always be punctual, prepared, and respectful of your time and individual learning style. I understand that learning can be challenging at times, but I am here to support you every step of the way and help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

My tutoring session would start off with finding out your needs. For example, figuring out which topics you are struggling with. I believe practice is the best way to understand a topic, so we can go through class work such as assignments, homework sets or class examples. Most importantly we will be setting goals and assessing your learning through learning objectives to ensure you are able to ace your final exams!

The first session will be 30 minutes, no cost! If you want to continue after the first 30 minute session then it will be $18/hr

I am only tutoring grades 8-10 students, so if you are in that age range and require tutoring in chemistry, biology or math then I am here to help.
