About Audrey
I am a senior Biochemistry & Molecular Biology student at Oregon State University with extensive experience in advanced science coursework and laboratory research. My academic background has required discipline, precision, and strong communication skills — qualities I bring into every tutoring session.

As a senior Biochemistry & Molecular Biology student at Oregon State University, I believe strong understanding should always come before memorization. In subjects like biology, chemistry, math, and anatomy, students often struggle because they try to memorize processes instead of understanding the reasoning behind them. My goal is to simplify complex topics into clear, logical steps that build both confidence and mastery.
My teaching method is concept-focused and personalized. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths, gaps, and learning style. I use visual explanations, guided practice problems, real-world examples, and active recall techniques to reinforce deeper understanding. In science courses especially, I incorporate diagrams and structured problem-solving to help students see how concepts connect.
A typical lesson includes a brief review, introduction of new material with interactive explanation, guided practice, and independent application with feedback. We end each session with a summary and a focused plan for continued improvement.
What sets me apart is my background in advanced coursework and laboratory research. I actively apply the material I teach, which allows me to connect textbook concepts to real scientific examples. I also emphasize study strategies and exam preparation skills so students gain tools that extend beyond a single class.
