About Hannah

My name is Hannah, I am from Texas and I’ve lived in London for 4 years. I have recently completed my degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology and there were times in my degree where me and my colleagues struggled. I would do online sessions where I essentially retaught what our professors were trying to teach us but in an easier, simplified way. So many friends and colleagues that attended the online sessions and pre exam crash courses messaged me after saying they had never felt so confident in an exam before. I think this made me realize I want to go into teaching and tutoring.

About the lesson

I find the best way to teach and tutor is through figuring out what the student knows and doesn’t know or understands. From there I approach it in a way that makes the unknown simple. I have always found taking personal notes and learning in my own words makes retaining a subject easier. By breaking down what’s unknown and having the student learn it in their own words little by little has been the most successful.
