About Valens
I'm a Biochemical Engineer during the day and I tutor high school students in the evenings.
I realized that I have a gift for teaching when I was in high school and tutored my friends and classmates. I continued to tutor while I was completing my engineering degree at McMaster University. After graduation I took a break from tutoring to pursue a career as an engineer.
I recently decided to start tutoring again because I enjoy inspiring curiosity. I have numerous years of experience in diverse industries ranging from construction to manufacturing. I draw from these experiences to provide my students with relevant application of the seemingly boring STEM curriculum.
