About Alejandra

I have an undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering from Colombia and graduate degrees in Natural Resource Management and Geography from Canada. I have 20 years of experience in academic and applied research and teaching in various fields of mathematics and science.

About the lesson

General lesson structure. Lessons are adapted to the topic and age of the students
1. Introduction (5 minutes)
• Warm Welcome: Greet the student in their preferred language and set the agenda for the session.
2. Concept Exploration (10 minutes)
• Core Topic: Introduce the lesson's main concept using examples from both engineering and social sciences.
3. Hands-On Practice (15 minutes)

• Independent Work: Allow the student to work on related problems, offering support as needed.
4. Real-World Application (10 minutes)
• Practical Connections: Show how the concept applies to real-life scenarios and cross-disciplinary contexts.

• Summary: Recap key points and discuss what the student learned and found challenging.
6. Homework and Closing (5 minutes)
