About Gladys

I immigrated to the U.S. as a high school senior, therefore I had to take ESL classes alongside college-level English classes. It was not easy; but this experience strengthened my love for language; I also noticed that the methods used to teach English differ from Spanish, and I thought of ideas on how to teach my friends not just to “say” the words in Spanish; but also the rules and basics of the language. I obtained my BA to learn the basics of teaching and I’m using this platform to put these skills to work helping others.

About the lesson

We will learn the basics of the Spanish language as building blocks that will help students improve their vocabulary and their conversational skills, promoting a fun, culturally immersive experience. The lessons will include the use of phonetic pronunciation, to aid skills like reading and writing; we will explore grammar and how it applies to language in a personal and professional setting.
