About Paul

I am a second-year Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) student at Swansea University and a dual-national native French speaker. Because of my unique academic and personal background, I offer a highly versatile, multi-disciplinary approach to tutoring.

My qualifications and credentials include:
• Language Mastery: Native fluency backed by a DALF C2 certification (the highest official French language diploma awarded by the French Ministry of Education).
• Medical & Science Pedigree: as part of my medical school application I scored very highly in both the University Clinical Aptitude Test (top decile / 2900+) and the Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) tests, mastering both complex sciences and humanities.
• Teaching Experience: Extensive experience coaching children both inside and outside of school environments, alongside being a qualified LTA tennis coach and a Grade 8+ classical musician.

About the lesson

I offer tailored, high-energy sessions across several specialised streams:

1. French Language & French Immersion (CLIL) - I teach through French. I offer Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), meaning I can teach school subjects like Maths, Science, or Humanities entirely in French. This immersion technique is the fastest way to build natural, accent-free fluency. I also offer standard GCSE/A-Level French prep and conversational sessions for adults.

2. Maths, Science & Humanities (up to GCSE/A-Level) With my medical background and success in the highly competitive GAMSAT (which tests physical sciences, biology, and essay-writing/humanities), I am uniquely equipped to tutor across both STEM and essay-based subjects. I make complex scientific and mathematical concepts intuitive and easy to digest.

🩺 3. Medicine Admissions (UCAT, GAMSAT & MMIs) Navigating the medical school application process is incredibly stressful. I can provide strategic tutoring for the UCAT and GAMSAT, alongside interview prep (MMIs) and personal statement advice to help aspiring medics secure their places.

4. Beginner Piano & Music Theory (Up to Grade 4) For younger learners, I offer creative, low-pressure introductions to the piano, basic hand techniques, and reading sheet music. My Approach: Every student receives a personalised learning plan. I focus heavily on active recall, confidence-building, and practical application rather than dry rote-memorisation. The most important lesson for me here is discovering how fun and beautiful musical expression can be for anyone! All sessions can be conducted online or in person in the Swansea area.
