About Marie

Bonjour, my name is Marie, and I am a native French speaker who is passionate about sharing my language and helping others build confidence in French.
I was raised speaking French and English, and I am currently studying Psychology with Neuroscience. My studies have deepened my interest in how the brain learns and adapts, especially when it comes to language learning. I believe that our ability to learn a new language can continue throughout life, and I am fascinated by the process of helping students discover and develop this ability.
I want to teach French because I enjoy seeing people gain confidence, improve their communication skills, and discover the culture behind the language. As an international student living in an English-speaking environment, I understand the importance of staying connected to my languages and culture. Being bilingual has shown me how meaningful it is to practise a language regularly and share conversations with others.
My goal is to create supportive and engaging lessons where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace. Whether you are a complete beginner, a student looking to improve academically, or an adult wanting to develop your French skills, I will adapt my lessons to your goals and make learning an enjoyable experience.
Through my lessons, I hope to create a space where students can learn authentic French, improve their communication skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for the language and culture.

About the lesson

I offer personalised French lessons designed to help students build confidence and enjoy learning the language. As a native French speaker, bilingual in French and English, and a Psychology with Neuroscience student, I bring both language knowledge and an understanding of how different learners develop their skills.
My teaching approach focuses on creating engaging and supportive lessons adapted to each student’s goals, level and learning style. I use a combination of conversation practice, pronunciation exercises, vocabulary development, grammar explanations and interactive activities to make learning French practical and enjoyable.
A typical lesson lasts around 1 hour and includes reviewing previous topics, introducing new vocabulary or grammar, practising speaking skills and applying knowledge through exercises and discussions. Lessons are personalised depending on whether the student wants to improve conversational French, prepare for school exams, or start learning the language from the beginning.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, children, GCSE students and adults. Whether you want to gain confidence speaking French, improve your academic performance, or develop your language skills, I will support you with patient and tailored guidance.
