About Samuel
Hi, I’m Sam, an 18 year old who is about to start university after graduating from the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in London on the elite Baccalauréat Français International (BFI) track with a mention Très Bien on the French Baccalaureate (the highest official honours distinction, roughly equivalent to A*/A grades across all subjects).
Having finished a bilingual curriculum blending the French and English academic systems, I offer students a unique edge in language acquisition, oral exams, and essay technique.

In a lesson I can offer:
- Interactive oral exam practice: as a student who initially struggled with oral exams (especially in French which wasn’t my mother tongue), I got 16/20 in the French bac oral, 18/20 in the Grand Oral (in French), 18/20 in my English History-Geography oral and 19/20 in my English littérature oral. Therefore, I know both the struggles of oral exams and how to overcome them
- Grammar and vocabulary lessons: what everyone struggles with in French. I can give targeted exercises to break down complex tenses and syntax
- Exam technique and essay writing: Scoring 18/20 in English Literature and 17/20 in HGGSP (Politics/History/Geo), I pass on the precise essay frameworks, analytical depth, and phrasing that top examiners look for
- My first lesson will be a FREE 30-45 minute consultation to create a personalised learning plan for the student based on current level, weak spots and target grades
- I provide OPTIONAL homework tasks if I feel it will help the student
