About Pallavi

I have 7 years of tutoring experience, and my journey as a tutor began quite early. I started teaching students of Class 9 while I was still in Class 10 myself. What began as an early interest in teaching gradually developed into a long-term passion for helping students learn and grow.

I am a B.Com. (Hons.) graduate in Finance from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Over the years, I have taught more than 60 paid students, covering all subjects from Nursery to Class 8. My experience includes both home tutoring and online tutoring, allowing me to work with students with different learning styles, needs, and academic levels.

During an NSS camp, I also had the opportunity to teach students in a government school. Along with helping them with their studies, I guided them regarding the importance of education and encouraged them to think about their future academic and career opportunities.

I believe one of my strengths as a tutor is the friendly and comfortable relationship I build with my students. This helps them feel less pressured, ask questions freely, and openly discuss the areas where they are struggling. My goal has always been to make learning a positive experience while helping students build confidence along with their academic skills.

About the lesson

I teach in English, Hindi, or Hinglish, depending on what the student is most comfortable with. I adapt my approach according to their individual needs, learning pace, and comfort level.

I conduct regular revisions at the end of every week and take tests after completing a topic or chapter. This helps me track the student’s progress, identify areas that need more attention.

I also believe that learning becomes more effective when students feel comfortable and engaged. Therefore, I keep my sessions friendly, interactive, and encouraging so that children do not feel that studying is a burden. I make an effort to build a relationship where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their difficulties, and expressing themselves openly.

At times, a student’s academic performance or behavior may be affected by personal or social challenges. When appropriate, I take the time to listen and understand what they may be going through. If I feel that a concern requires parental attention, I communicate it responsibly with the parents. For example, I have supported students in dealing with incidents of bullying at school and made sure that their parents understood the seriousness of the situation so that it could be addressed appropriately.

For me, teaching is not only about completing the syllabus—it is also about creating a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment where students can grow both academically and personally.
