About Rachel

Nice to meet you! I graduated from The University of Michigan in 2025 with my BFA in dance from the School of Music, Theater & Dance. Prior to my degree, I was a competitive dancer and on my high school's dance team. My competition and dance team background gave me a strong technical foundation, while my college education encouraged my creativity and expression. I have been teaching since I was 16 at my home studio, and have had the opportunity to judge dance competitions in my area when I was in college. Whether you are looking for extra training in technique, or finding your artistry, I am here to help!

About the lesson

I like to focus on strong fundamentals, musicality, and personal style. I aim to create a supportive, upbeat environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, asking questions, and pushing themselves creatively. Whether the goal is building a solid foundation, improving performance skills, or simply enjoying movement, every lesson is structured to be engaging, challenging, and fun.

*The first lesson will be a quick 30 minute meeting to go over what you are wanting to focus on. Make your goals, plan, etc.*
