About Camille
Hi, I’m Camille!
I first learned to sew from my grandmother, but over my life it’s developed from a hobby to a career. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics, or want to learn more advanced sewing techniques, I’m here to help. By working together on a project, I can guide students through each step of the process and leave them feeling proud and confident with a handmade garment!
I have experience teaching all levels and ages, and a BFA in Costume Technology from Rutgers University. Specific skills include garment construction, draping, pattern making, industrial machines and sergers, and hand embroidery.

My lessons begin with the student. I ask a few questions beforehand just to get to know their experience, and then we work together to find a project that suits their skill level and interest. After purchasing supplies, we can work together on each step of the sewing process, learning everything from pattern reading and making to stitching and threading a machine. Students will leave my lessons with practical experience and a finished project.
