About Ritu

I am a passionate and goal-oriented flute tutor with 11 years of teaching experience and around 150 students successfully mentored.

My teaching style combines technical mastery with creative expression. I focus on strengthening breath control, embouchure formation, tone quality, articulation precision, finger coordination, and rhythm accuracy.

I design personalised lesson plans that align with each student’s individual goals, whether for exams, performances, or personal enjoyment. I emphasise consistent practice habits and provide constructive feedback to ensure measurable progress.

One of my strongest qualities is my calm and patient teaching approach, which builds confidence and self-belief in students. I maintain high standards while creating a motivating and positive environment. My ultimate mission is to guide students towards becoming skilled, expressive, and dedicated flute players.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology focuses on developing confidence through consistent practice, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I believe that students achieve mastery when lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to their individual needs.

I begin with posture, breath control, embouchure, tone production, and finger coordination. I introduce scales, articulation exercises, and rhythm drills to develop technical precision. As students progress, I guide them towards expressive playing, dynamics, and musical interpretation.

I also teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm understanding to build comprehensive musicianship. Students learn to connect theory with practice for a deeper understanding of music.

Flexibility allows me to customise lessons for different levels, goals, and learning speeds. Collaboration is encouraged through interactive discussions, shared repertoire, and goal-setting exercises.

I maintain a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged and supported. My goal is to nurture skilled, expressive, and confident flute players.
