About Jonnie
Seattle is where I base my 6 years of teaching work after graduating from Berklee College of Music. Playing guitar shouldn't be harder than it actually is. I focus on helping my students master strumming patterns, scales, modes, tuning, maintenance, reading tabs, songwriting, and power chords.
My studio philosophy remains straightforward. I prioritize learning songs, grasping the mechanics behind them, and building clean technique. Hendrix and Mayer remain my core influences. I truly enjoy seeing the lightbulb moments when a student finally connects the dots.

Soloing over custom backing tracks provides the specific edge you need to grow at home. You will feel that rhythm section locking in behind your lead lines while you test out new melodic ideas.
It is quite a rush to hear your own progress in real time. Technique stems from the foundations I built during my time at Berklee College of Music. My 6 years of experience ensures we avoid fluff and get right to the raw sound. The rest just comes down to practice.
