About Andria

My name is Andria Michael and I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music majoring in Jazz Composition. I started piano lessons when I was nine and when I got more into music I was interested in learning a melodic instrument. I chose violin because I liked its sound and the type of music that could play. When I got a little bit older I wanted to add a third instrument to my musical world, so I started attending singing classes at Kyriakides School of Music. This is when my life changed, when I met Christos Kyriakides, my voice teacher who graduated from Berklee. He talked to me about Berklee, about how much he improved as a musician in just 4 years at Berklee and he talked about unique experiences that he could only gain at Berklee. A couple of years before high school I joined Limassol’s marching band where I was playing the horn and a year after I changed my instrument to flute. It was an experience that taught me how to work in a team and play music as a part of the band. When I was 16 I applied for the Music lyceum of Limassol and I got accepted. In this school I attended classes that changed the way I see music and I met people that made me understand how to be productive while studying and that music is not only a hobby but also a way of life. It didn’t just change my musical perceptions but also the way I interpret life in general. At this school I attended classes such as, ear training, music history, music technology, choir, orchestra, ensembles, private piano and piano duets, classical harmony and more. But none of those were related to jazz, something I ‘ve always respected and appreciated. After I graduated from high school I applied to Berklee in order to get into the jazz world as an addition to all the classical musical areas I've experienced. I am working in music education for 6+ years and I now settled down with the creation of Andria Michael Music School that accommodates local students but also online students from around the world. There is much more I am waiting to experience and despite the difficulties and obstacles I will come across, I feel musically strong enough to face them and live the dream as a musician.

About the lesson

I always make sure that I cover the student's needs and expectations based on their vision and aims. The lessons are entertaining, well and clearly explained and they are focused on confidence boosting. Everyone can sing, everyone can learn music when material is taught in a sufficiently professional but entertaining way as well.

She is very knowledgeable in both theory and singing, and you can tell she is very passionate about it. She has a great attitude, always calm and positive and she explains very well. Students can cancel any time up to 24 hours before the lesson start time for free, but any lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the start time will be charged at 50% of the total lesson fee. When a student cancels within 24 hours of the start time, will be charged at 100% of the total lesson fee.
