About Chidera
I am a UC Berkeley math graduate with 11 years of tutoring experience, teaching students from middle school through college and beyond. Over the years, I’ve guided learners through a wide range of subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Real Analysis, and Complex Analysis. Whether a student is building foundational skills or tackling advanced coursework, I know how to make math approachable and clear. My background in mathematics, combined with more than a decade of hands-on teaching, has given me the ability to break down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations that fit each student’s learning style. I understand that math can feel intimidating, so I create a supportive environment where questions are welcomed and mistakes are seen as part of the learning process. Professionalism, patience, and adaptability are at the core of my teaching. I take pride not only in helping students improve grades, but also in developing lasting study habits, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence. My teaching is simple: I break math down into clear, step-by-step explanations that match each student's learning style. I focus on building confidence, not just getting through homework.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of what's been challenging, then we work through examples together, apply the concept to homework or test prep, and end with a short recap so the student leaves with clarity and direction.
