About the lesson

My Approach: I first learned English at the age of seven by watching KQED cartoons, and that early exposure sparked a lifelong love for language learning. As a former ESL student myself, I deeply understand the challenges and triumphs of mastering a new language. I personalize each lesson to align with the student’s unique learning style—whether visual, auditory, or hands-on—while emphasizing clear communication, critical thinking, and real-world application. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and growing through the process. Typical Lesson Plan: 5 minutes: Quick check-in and goal-setting 20 minutes: Core lesson with interactive exercises (reading, writing, grammar, or conversation) 15 minutes: Application through games, real-world scenarios, or guided practice 5 minutes: Recap and take-home practice tips What Sets Me Apart: With experience mentoring students from diverse age groups and academic backgrounds—including those navigating various educational pipelines—I bring both structure and patience to every session.
