About Isaac

Originally from Hacienda Heights, CA, I am a recent UC Berkeley Grad and currently work in the Entertainment Industry for Sony Pictures where I work in Finance for the Distribution Division. In college, I studied Economics & Data Science and was thoroughly involved in numerous clubs and organizations including the ASUC, various business clubs, and the Undergraduate Economics Association. I was originally a Political Science and Global Studies Major so a large majority of my college career was not only spent taking technical Math, Economics, and Data Science courses, but also rigorous liberal arts courses.

During my Free time I enjoy binging Netflix Shows (currently watching Blacklist), going on Hikes, and spending time with my Family. I am also a huge fan of sports (Lakers & Dodgers) and cars.

About the lesson

Teaching Method and Techniques: Utilize a blend of theoretical explanations and real-world applications to deepen students' comprehension and foster critical thinking skills. I can integrate various resources such as textbooks, online materials, and supplementary exercises to cater to diverse learning preferences.

Typical Lesson Plan: Each session will begin with a brief review of previous topics to reinforce learning continuity. I then introduce new concepts, followed by guided practice sessions where students solve problems independently. Sessions conclude with a recap of key takeaways and assignment of practice exercises for further reinforcement.

What Sets Me Apart: My ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning styles and pace sets me apart as a tutor. I prioritize building rapport with students to create a supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification. Having been a rather recent college grad from the UC system I can also provide guidance on what is needed to be successful in college.

Target Audience: I provide tutoring services to High School or Middle school students who seek to improve their Mathematical, Statistics, Economics, or Spanish Skills.
