About Issac
You likely notice that your progress on the violin feels stalled by specific technical gaps. I draw on 6 years of teaching 395 students to help you master left-hand agility and spiccato or staccato bowing.
My experience allows me to pinpoint exactly when your shifting positions or vibrato need adjustment to improve your overall tone. Refining your scales and arpeggios builds the muscle memory required for more advanced repertoire. My instruction remains rooted in the fundamentals to ensure you develop a reliable technique that lasts a lifetime. I provide free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to keep your practice sessions productive. My background with a Master of Music in Music Performance from Queensland Conservatorium means I understand the nuance behind every shift and stroke. You will receive clear feedback that addresses your bowing mechanics while keeping the learning process manageable and consistent.
Sometimes we spend extra time on a single measure to ensure the phrasing sits perfectly under your fingers. These 6 years of professional experience help me recognize when a student needs a different perspective to solve a persistent bowing issue. I make sure our time together remains focused on practical gains rather than abstract theory. Finding the joy in a well executed scale is often the best part of our work.
