About Ariella

I am a violin tutor with 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Studies with a focus on Violin. My classical training has given me a deep understanding of technique, musicality, and expressive performance. I am passionate about helping students discover their own unique voice and expressive versatility on the violin.

My lessons focus on essential skills such as bowing precision, vibrato control, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation. I guide students through both classical and contemporary repertoire, ensuring they develop technical mastery alongside musical expression. I also provide structured guidance for ABRSM and Trinity examinations, helping students achieve strong results with confidence.

Orchestral coaching is another key part of my approach, preparing students to perform seamlessly in ensembles and develop ensemble awareness. Each lesson is tailored to individual goals, balancing technical exercises with fun and inspiring repertoire. I encourage active listening, creativity, and musical exploration to make learning engaging and meaningful.

My aim is to build not just skill, but confidence and passion in every student. Lessons are interactive, supportive, and designed to nurture a lifelong love of the violin. About the lesson

I believe learning the violin should be both enjoyable and deeply rewarding. My approach focuses on building strong foundational string techniques, including bowing, finger placement, and posture. I also emphasise sight reading and music theory to help students understand the language of music and play confidently. Vibrato development and tone control are integrated early to enhance expressiveness and musicality.

I guide students through a variety of styles, allowing them to explore classical pieces, pop arrangements, and contemporary music. This helps learners develop versatility while connecting technique to real performance situations. Each lesson is tailored to individual goals, whether preparing for performances, exams, or personal musical growth.

I incorporate exercises that strengthen rhythm, ear training, and improvisation, making practice engaging and effective. For students aiming to shine in performance, I provide guidance that builds confidence and stage presence. Lessons are interactive and structured, balancing technical mastery with creative expression.
