About Tennison
I am a bubbly and supportive person who loves teaching humans of all ages. I have taught students from all over the globe; from Spain to China to Australia. I love sharing Spanish culture and history and giving monolingual people the chance to spread their linguistic wings. Learning an additional language changes the way you see and experience the world in the best possible way.
I am especially passionate about supporting dyslexic and neurodiverse learns on their path to language proficiency.

Me llamo Tennison y soy una profesora de español. Lessons with me are personalised to suit your language learning needs and to help you achieve your goals. I have 6 years of experience in language teaching, 3 years of that specifically teaching Spanish. I have a Master of Teaching (specialising in modern languages and humanities) from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia and have lived in Mexico and Spain.
Lessons with adults include; multimedia to practice comprehension, speaking practice using prompts and dialogues, clear grammar instructions, modelling and supported use of grammar (gradual release method/"I do, we do, you do").
Lessons with children include; music and singing, modelling grammar, collaborative tasks, games, positive reinforcement, videos and roleplaying.
