About Smruti
Mathematics , coding and 3D Arts , to me, is not just a subject; it's a language of logic, a playground for the mind, and a tool for understanding the world around us. My passion for math has always been intertwined with my desire to share its wonders with others.
Over the years, I've honed my teaching approach to focus on three core principles:
Conceptual Clarity: I believe that true understanding comes from grasping the 'why' behind mathematical concepts, not just the 'how.' I strive to explain ideas in a way that makes sense, using visual aids, real-world examples, and analogies to bridge the gap between abstract concepts and concrete applications.
Active Engagement: Math is not a spectator sport. I encourage my students to actively participate in their learning through hands-on activities, collaborative problem-solving, and technology integration. I believe that by 'doing' math, students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for its power.
Cultivating a Growth Mindset: I strive to create a classroom culture where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth, and effort is valued as much as achievement. I want my students to develop the confidence and resilience to tackle challenges, knowing that with perseverance and the right strategies, they can succeed in math.
Some of my favorite teaching techniques include:
Flipped Classroom: I often provide instructional videos or readings for students to review at home, freeing up class time for more interactive activities and discussions.
Project-Based Learning: I love incorporating projects that allow students to apply math to real-world situations, fostering creativity and critical thinking.
Technology Integration: I utilize various online tools and software to enhance visualization, practice, and assessment.
My greatest reward as a teacher is witnessing the 'aha' moments when students grasp a concept or solve a challenging problem. It's a reminder that math is not just about numbers and formulas; it's about empowering young minds to think critically, reason logically, and embrace the joy of discovery."

I believe in making Maths, Coding and 3D Arts relatable and engaging, so for example when I introduce some concepts, I don't just throw a ideaat my students. Instead, we start with a story . This sparks curiosity and helps them see the practical relevance of the concepts.
Next, I guide them through a hands-on activity . This discovery process is far more impactful than simply memorizing a concepts.
Once they've grasped the core concept, we delve into the formal theorem and its applications. I use visual aids like animations and interactive diagrams to reinforce understanding. I also encourage them to ask questions and challenge each other's ideas, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
To cater to different learning styles, I offer a variety of practice problems, ranging from straightforward calculations to real-world scenarios. I also provide additional support and challenges for students who need it.
Throughout the process, I give frequent feedback, both individually and collectively. I emphasize the importance of understanding the 'why' behind the concepts and its connections to other concepts.
By the end of the lesson, my students not only know the concepts but also understand its significance and can apply it confidently to solve problems. They leave the classroom feeling empowered and excited about math, which is ultimately my goal as a teacher.
