About Lena

I am a current second year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Melbourne, and graduated in 2019 with an ATAR of 98.05. I have been tutoring for 3 years now and absolutely love it, and am also a volunteer revision lecturer at one of the university clubs I'm a part of. I'm passionate about education and look forward to working with you to help you succeed academically!

About the lesson

I have been tutoring middle school and IB students since 2019 and have extensive knowledge of the maths topics covered in middle school as well as IB chemistry. As an IB tutor, I am able to articulately explain key concepts, and give valuable insight for learning/memorisation and note-taking strategies to improve exam performance, as well as revision strategies for each subject. Furthermore, I am more than willing to assist students with other aspects of the IB program aside from content such as proofreading internal assessments, and offering general advice on how to cope with the massive workload IB entails. As a middle school tutor, I'm more than happy to take on those from years 7-10 (or also primary) who may need assistance with maths, in order to set a solid foundation of knowledge to ultimately prepare for high school. I'm also willing to accelerate those who wish to get a head start on high school maths!

As every student learns differently, I am able to tailor my teaching to suit your needs and capabilities, so that you can get the best out of our lessons.

Lena is a really dedicated tutor, she understands the in's and outs of the IB, and due to that was able teach accordingly. She is well prepared in each lesson and has plenty of content and revision to work through. Furthermore, I found her method of explanation really easy and useful and if I didn't understand it she had the ability to explain it multiple ways in order to help me understand. Personally I'd highly recommend Lena for anyone considering a tutor and looking to increase their grades.
