About Stephanie

Hi, I'm Stephanie, and as a tutor my goal is simple: to make learning clear, relatable, and achievable. I adapt my teaching style to suit your needs, whether that’s breaking down complex concepts, guiding you through past papers, or solidifying study habits that last a lifetime. I am currently a first-year law student, who has graduated high school in 2024. I am studying a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Technology Sydney. I specialize in English-based subjects, doing the highest level of English in Year 12 and excelling with high Band 6's across all English courses. As a result, I tutor all levels of English; from English Standard 1 to English Extension 2, as well as all year groups (year 7-12). The HSC marks I received for some of the subjects I tutor are as follows: English Advanced (93/100) English Extension 1 (49/50) 25/25 in Section 1 Literary Worlds, 24/25 in Section 2 Electives Essay English Extension 2 (47/50) 38/40 in my Major Work, 9/10 in my Reflection Statement Studies of Religion 1 (49/50) 15/15 in Section 1, 14/15 in Section 2, 20/20 in Section 3 Essay I also received very high accolades in Textiles Technology and Commerce subjects within Year 9-10, coming first place in both subjects in both years; providing tutoring services for those subjects also.

I provide as a tutor: Clear and Simple Explanations: Breaking down complex topics into easy-to-understand steps so you never feel overwhelmed. Tailored Learning Plans: Adapting lessons to focus on your strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring you get the most out of every session. Practice and Strategy: Guiding you through past papers, practice questions, and proven techniques to help you tackle exams with confidence. Engagement and Support: Creating a positive and encouraging environment where no question is too small, and every effort is celebrated. Homework and Practice Questions that are immediately marked with feedback: Depending on my student, I also provide homework and practice question tasks and learning goals, to ensure consistency in learning growth and purpose. The resources I provide are extensive, including but not limited to: My own HSC exam responses Other HSC exemplar responses and resources Study notes and tips for each syllabus dot-point How to write essays, creatives, reflective and discursive responses Proofreading and editing Practice questions Resources that aid you for every assignment and assessment. I’ve developed strategies that make even the toughest topics feel manageable. Note: for my students in Year 7-10, I charge $70 an hour, and with my Year 11-12 students the rate increases to $80 an hour.

Depending on how far my students live, I also offer online tutoring services which are just as beneficial.
