About Claudia

With over 7 years of experience and a BA in Music Theory specialising in violin, I help adult learners reconnect with music in meaningful ways. My focus is on adult beginners and those returning to the instrument after a break. I love exploring improvisation with students and working outside traditional boundaries. Genres like folk, blues, worship music, and easy classical make the violin accessible and exciting. My lessons are structured around simple exercises that build skill without pressure. Ergonomic posture and mindful practice are emphasised to keep playing relaxed and enjoyable. I want students to feel at ease every time they pick up the instrument. Lessons are tailored to individual interests, whether that’s playing a favourite song or learning to improvise. I support creativity by encouraging exploration of new sounds and styles. Progress is celebrated, no matter how small. I believe music is a journey that should bring joy and fulfilment. Together, we’ll rediscover your love for the violin. About the lesson

I teach violin with a strong focus on sight-reading and fluency. My approach is systematic, guiding students step by step from simple rhythms to complex multi-part scores. We work carefully on understanding ledger lines and quick note recognition. Exercises are designed to connect what the eye sees to what the fingers play. This builds a foundation for confident, rapid reading. My goal is to help learners play new pieces instantly without hesitation. I dedicate special attention to rhythm accuracy, especially in challenging passages. For Musical Theatre Enthusiasts, this skill brings confidence in fast-paced rehearsals. For Worship Singers, it means adapting smoothly to layered scores and harmonies. Lessons also emphasise posture, bowing, and tone, supporting overall musicianship. Practice is reinforced with real repertoire, not just exercises. Every session is interactive and student-focused. With consistent guidance, learners develop not only sight-reading skill but also a deeper joy in music.
