About Nolan

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music and have been teaching guitar for over 7 years, working with students of all ages and backgrounds. My journey with the guitar began in my early teens, and it quickly became both a personal passion and a professional path. Sharing that enthusiasm with others has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. My teaching style is encouraging, adaptive, and practical. I strive to make lessons feel approachable and meaningful, whether you're just starting or refining advanced skills. Over the years, I've guided beginners through their first chords and helped more experienced players develop their unique musical voice. I focus not only on technical improvement but also on musical expression and creativity. Many of my students have gone on to write their own songs, perform confidently, or simply enjoy the joy of playing for themselves. I take pride in creating a supportive space where each learner feels motivated and free to explore their musical interests. Outside of teaching, I actively write, record, and perform music, experiences that I regularly bring into lessons. I believe that learning guitar should be both structured and personal—and I’m committed to helping every student discover their own rhythm, style, and confidence on the instrument.

About the lesson

Guitar lessons are carefully crafted to meet each student’s musical interests and skill level, whether you're picking up the instrument for the first time or aiming to refine your playing. Beginners start with the fundamentals—basic chords, tuning, rhythm, and proper hand positioning—to build a solid technical foundation.

As you progress, we move into more personalized material, including strumming patterns, fingerpicking, scales, and simple songs. Lessons are structured to be fun and goal-oriented, helping you quickly apply what you learn to actual music you enjoy. Whether you're interested in acoustic or electric guitar, the approach adjusts to your style.

Intermediate and advanced students explore deeper concepts such as improvisation, music theory, soloing techniques, and songwriting. We also focus on ear training and performance confidence, supporting those interested in live playing or recording their music.

Each lesson is designed to be interactive, flexible, and motivating. I aim to inspire creativity and independence in every student, ensuring that learning guitar becomes a fulfilling and lasting part of their life.
