About Bobby
Holding both Bachelor’s degrees in Music, I bring a strong academic and professional foundation to my guitar teaching. My lessons are designed to provide structured learning while fostering creativity, expression, and musical understanding. I begin with the core elements of technique, including posture, finger positioning, chord transitions, rhythm, and tone, then progress to advanced skills such as improvisation, phrasing, and composition. I incorporate music theory into lessons in a practical, approachable way, ensuring students can apply concepts to real songs. Each session is personalised, addressing individual goals, learning styles, and strengths.
I emphasise ear training, sight-reading, and performance preparation to help students achieve well-rounded musicianship. My teaching covers a variety of genres, from classical and jazz to contemporary styles, allowing students to explore different musical traditions. I provide structured practice plans, consistent feedback, and strategies for overcoming challenges. Beyond technical proficiency, I focus on fostering confidence, creativity, and a lifelong passion for music.
