About Hossein

Hello! My name is Hossein, and I’m excited to be your tutor in math and science. With over 15 years of experience as a practicing optometrist, I bring a wealth of real-world knowledge to the subjects we’ll explore together. I hold degrees in Optometry, Ocular Therapeutics, Accounting, and Diabetes Education, which has given me a strong foundation in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and applying scientific concepts to everyday challenges. My background allows me to connect what we learn in the classroom to practical applications, making these subjects more engaging and relevant. I’m passionate about helping students build their confidence and understanding, whether it’s mastering tricky math problems or breaking down complex scientific ideas. My teaching approach focuses on making learning accessible, interactive, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge to help you succeed and maybe even discover how math and science play a role in shaping the world around us. About the lesson

My tutoring style focuses on fostering curiosity, building confidence, and developing a deep understanding of concepts in math and science. I believe in tailoring my approach to suit each student’s unique learning style, whether they are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners.

I emphasise the importance of mastering foundational principles before tackling more advanced topics, using clear explanations and real-world examples to make abstract concepts relatable. I encourage active participation, guiding students through problem-solving processes rather than simply providing answers.

To keep students engaged, I incorporate interactive methods such as diagrams, experiments, and practice exercises, ensuring lessons are both educational and enjoyable. I also focus on developing critical thinking and analytical skills, helping students approach challenges methodically.

I foster a supportive and patient environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as I believe mistakes are key opportunities for growth. My goal is to empower students to think independently, apply concepts confidently, and develop a lasting interest in math and science.
