About Hudson

"I have over 10 years of experience teaching violin and helping students build strong musical foundations. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, which has given me a deep understanding of classical technique and performance practice. I enjoy guiding students from traditional violin training toward modern and expressive playing.

My lessons focus on bowing control, vibrato, phrasing, and interpretation across Classical, Contemporary, and Cinematic styles. I help students understand how technique, emotion, and musical storytelling work together. Every piece becomes an opportunity to develop both skill and creativity.

I provide preparation for ABRSM and Trinity exams while also coaching students for orchestral performance. I guide learners in improving accuracy, ensemble awareness, and confidence when playing with others. For example, I help students prepare challenging passages by combining technical practice with musical expression.

My teaching style is supportive, patient, and focused on each student's goals. I believe the violin is a balance of tradition and imagination. I invite you to blend classical foundations with creative expression and discover your own musical journey."

About the lesson

"My violin teaching approach focuses on building strong foundations while helping students discover confidence and expression in their playing. I teach bowing control, intonation, tone development, musical expression, and posture through structured lessons. Each skill is connected to real pieces so students understand how technique creates beautiful music.

I help students improve their sound by developing a relaxed posture and a controlled bow arm. For example, we may practice slow bow exercises and simple scales before applying them to a melody. This helps students build accuracy while feeling more comfortable with their instrument.

I also focus on listening skills, pitch awareness, and expressive choices to create a more musical performance. Students learn how small changes in bow speed, pressure, and phrasing can transform their sound. My lessons provide clear guidance while encouraging creativity and personal growth.

My goal is to support students in becoming confident violinists who enjoy their progress. I help learners develop discipline, musical understanding, and the skills needed to perform with greater freedom. With consistent practice and support, you can create a strong and expressive violin voice."
