About Ande

About the lesson

I am a well-established guitarist based in Melbourne with over 13 years of experience playing guitar. I have been teaching guitarists and musicians from all around Australia as well as internationally for over 7 years now. I play guitar for internationally acclaimed melodic metal band Vanishing Point, currently working on finishing our 7th album to be released later this year. Lessons are for all ages, from complete beginners to advanced level musicians looking to continue expanding their skills. From years of practice and teaching, I have established the best way to approach learning guitar avoiding any unnecessary or outdated methods for making progress quickly. I offer lessons on all aspects of music not just limited to guitar playing and technique, including - Music Theory, Songwriting/Composition, Improvisation, Recording, Music Transcription and anything else related to music or the music industry. VCE Music and Bachelor of Music students – I have a Bachelor of Music degree, and I have also completed VCE music. If you are currently in VCE or undertaking Music at University, I am more than able to tutor and provide any extra support you need. Any student who takes lessons with me can expect high quality and productive sessions with material prepared before lessons begin. Sessions will be planned out ahead in order to get the maximum benefit from each lesson. Students are advised to send material and things they might like to learn ahead of time. Any material worked on in lessons will be presented in a professional format and provided to students at the end of each lesson, along with practice notes. Students are also encouraged to send me videos, recordings, or questions between lessons if necessary to ensure lesson material is being worked on correctly and not have to wait a week for an answer!
