Hi, I’m Sachi. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Economics and Sociology at the University of Sydney. I tutor English Literature and Social Science for HSC students and below, and I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident and capable in these subjects. My goal is to make learning feel clear and manageable. About the lesson

As a Bachelor of Arts student majoring in Economics and Sociology at the University of Sydney, I bring both academic understanding and a student’s perspective to tutoring. I offer lessons in English Literature and Social Science for students in HSC or below, including support for Year 7–12 students.

My tutoring approach is student-focused and adaptable. I begin by understanding each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style. From there, I tailor each lesson to reinforce core concepts, build confidence, and develop critical thinking. I believe in creating a safe, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas deeply—especially important in humanities subjects like English and Social Science, where interpretation and analysis matter just as much as content knowledge.

I often incorporate:

Step-by-step breakdowns of texts or theories

Interactive discussions to help students form and defend arguments

Scaffolded writing support, including essay planning and feedback

Exam preparation using sample questions, timed exercises, and feedback

For social sciences, I also include current examples and help students connect theory with real-world contexts.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I’m flexible based on the student’s needs, whether that’s a shorter session to revise a key topic or an extended one before exams or assessments.

I have prior experience mentoring peers and younger students informally and through academic volunteering. My background in consumer research and communication also equips me with strong analytical and presentation skills, useful for helping students structure essays, arguments, and presentations clearly and effectively.
