About Xoliswa
I have an Honours Degree in Augementative and Alternative Communication. As well as a Bachelor of Arts degree, which was a double major. I majored in Communication Science and Psychology; therefore, I have the necessary skills to be able to communicate better with others and understand what their needs may be. I am naturally inclined to offer my assistance and ensure that my client's or student's needs are met. I have experience with tutoring online as well as one-on-one. My teaching method is centred on the individual needs of students. I am quite practical in methods and will go above and beyond to further explain theories which may be difficult to grasp. I offer lessons which focus on certain topics and dwell on a specific topic before introducing a new concept unless the previous one has been grasped successfully. However, I am also time conscious and will encourage the student to push themselves and work hard to gain better results within reasonable time constraints. I enjoy working with all age groups as I can relate to them all; but particularly enjoy working with ESL students; and primary age-groups.
