About Billy

My name is Billy Pod and I am a professional drummer/musician and educator for more than 15 years. My teaching experience includes 8 years of teaching and 3 years of academic experience as a visiting university lecturer at the Jazz department of Ionian University in Greece. At the same time I've been teaching students from nursery 4 year olds to advanced and professional students at international workshops (Taichung International University, Ionian University Jazz Camp, International Jazz Summer Camp etc) Ι have 2 official album releases as an artist/composer. Have recorded more than 20 albums with international acclaimed artists. Performing and touring consistently in EU, UK, ASIA, USA in the last 10 years.

About the lesson

I started playing drums at the age of 9 and I am well aware of the long process and the importance of a great teacher that will successfully guide a beginner level student. - I use and adapt my own spreadsheets (lesson plans) according to the level/needs of each student, as well as providing PDFs of the most important drum books. - I have a BA and MA (1st Class) in Music Performance and I play the piano/compose (have also studied violin) so I am guiding my drum lessons to a more holistic music approach, providing music theory references that will help students develop their drumming skills more effectively in any kind of music. - I have working experience as a musician in many different styles of music from Rock, Metal, Pop, Folk, Jazz, Traditional Greek music so I am very flexible. - I teach students of all levels from beginners to postgrad and music professionals. - You get detailed practice routine schedule adapted on your needs (on a spreadsheet), in order to manage your practice time and target your goals more efficiently. *SPECIAL COURSES - I offer private one to one drumming career mentoring (online or in person) to students that have just finished studying and want to lay down their first career plans. (4 Courses Plan) - Specialised lessons for students preparing for auditions in music schools, universities, colleges, academies. - Enhanced DBS Certificate
