About Patrick
During my time in academia, I have been fortunate enough to teach (to varying degrees) into several of courses such as: Human Body Systems; Clinical Biochemistry; Motor Development and Skill Acquisition; Exercise Physiology; Biomechanics; Scientific Principles of Health and Disease. Between my doctoral studies and courses that I’ve taught and/or taken in the past, I am a highly effective teacher/tutor. Moreover, open-ended feedback has been very positive (examples available upon request) and quantitative metrics suggest a high level of satisfaction regarding the style of structure of courses I’ve been involved with. For example, at CQU I was course coordinator for Human Body Systems 2, a large anatomy and physiology course with >600 students per term. Under my tutelage, student performance and satisfaction scores were at all-time highs.

I have a PhD in Biological Science from Central Queensland University. I have taught at all undergraduate tertiary levels and have occupied several teaching roles across a range of health- and medical-related disciplines. I was most currently a lecturer in the department of Medical and Applied Sciences at Central Queensland University. At CQU, I was course coordinator for Human Body Systems 2, a large anatomy and physiology course with >600 students per term. Under my tutelage, student performance and satisfaction scores were at all-time highs. My dedication to both teaching and learning, along with strong interpersonal skills, have consistently resulted in exceptional performance and feedback from students.
