About Bizhan
I have over 15 years of experience in film and TV production, shooting across the world including the UK, Hong Kong, and LA, including several award wins and nominations. My works have been covered by Variety, Deadline, Screen Daily, and The Hollywood Reporter.
Most recently I co-wrote, produced, and directed a remake of Richard Linklater's Sundance film TAPE with original writer (and current Netflix co-showrunner) Stephen Belber.
I created, wrote, and directed Hong Kong crime series FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGIST which premiered in New York in August 2023.
I produced, directed, and wrote THE AUDITION starring Xander Berkeley (The Mandalorian, The Walking Dead), John Savage (The Deer Hunter, Do the Right Thing), and Jumayn Hunter (Small Axe: Mangrove, Attack the Block).
I also headed the international arm of Hong Kong's oldest broadcaster ATV, during which time I taught several university and school-aged interns.

My approach is tailored to the requirements of my audience who are typically in GCSE/6th Form/University, but open to teaching at all age ranges.
I normally discuss theory while providing the opportunity for practical work; e.g. writing + rewriting scenes, addressing feedback, directing, including homework geared to further improvement in this craft.
Lessons are typically between 60-120 minutes in length, and I have had many years of experience teaching interns and students in my various roles.
Lessons can be tailored dependent on your experience and what you are seeking to gain by engaging with me. I am personable, professional, and eager to connect with similarly passionate individuals who are eager to embark on their own journey in Film and TV.
