About Nini
Hi! I’m Nini Pharsenadze, a Georgian filmmaker, director, editor, and occasional actor based between New York and Batumi. I just graduated from Brown University with a degree in Film and Architecture, where I wrote and directed August, a film about war, memory, and identity. We raised thousands to make it happen, and it's now in post-production and gearing up for a festival run.
Before that, my short Dinner in Evening won Best Student Film at the Cannes World Film Festival, and I've been lucky to work on everything from experimental shorts to music videos and campaign edits. I edit in both DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro, and have experience building a film from the first draft to the final export, through sleepless nights, budget chaos, casting dilemmas, and the rare magic moment when everything just works.
Whether I’m directing actors, cutting a trailer, or helping someone tighten their story, I care about intention. I want things to feel real, not perfect, but personal. That same energy shapes how I teach.
As a teacher, I meet you where you're at. I don’t believe in snobby film talk, I believe in helping you find your voice and build something that feels yours. I’ll teach you how to edit like a storyteller, give real notes that sharpen your work without killing your spirit, and support you through the messy, exciting process of making something that matters.
So whether you want to make a short film, cut a reel, or just figure out what the heck DaVinci nodes even are, I’ve got you. :)
