About Sarah
As a longtime homeschool mom, professional writer, and editor, I bring both experience and heart to every lesson. I genuinely love writing—storytelling, clarity, rhythm, and the power of words—and I’m passionate about passing that love on to the next generation. In a world of texts and emojis, I believe it's more important than ever for kids to learn how to express themselves clearly, thoughtfully, and confidently. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level. Whether they’re in middle school, high school, or just starting college, I meet them where they are. Some students need help building strong essay structure, others need support in reading comprehension or grammar, and many just need someone to help them believe they can be good writers. I focus on growing skills and confidence at the same time. In addition to homeschooling my own children for over a decade, I’ve written and self-published books such as Lessons in Yeshua’s Torah and Little Children, Big God. I’ve also edited academic works, devotionals, and memoirs for other authors. That professional experience shapes my tutoring: I know what good writing looks like, and I know how to help students reach it—one clear, supported step at a time.

My method blends direct instruction with discussion and creative exploration. I break down concepts like thesis development, literary analysis, or story structure into manageable steps. I also incorporate grammar and vocabulary naturally, within real writing tasks.
A typical lesson might begin with a brief review or warm-up, followed by instruction tied to the student’s goals (e.g., improving essay structure, strengthening reading comprehension, or refining creative voice). We work through examples together, and I assign targeted practice with feedback.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt. I’ve taught students with dyslexia, late readers, advanced writers, and those who simply need to believe in themselves. I’m passionate about helping students find their voice and think critically—not just fill out worksheets.
Lessons are ideal for homeschooled students, public/private school students, and those preparing for high school or early college-level writing. Whether your student struggles or excels, I meet them where they are and help them grow.
